What are veneers?

Veneers are thin shells of porcelain that are placed over teeth. Veneers are normally placed with minimal or no anesthesia. They are marketed under different brand names such as Lumineers ® by Cerinate. The protocol and techniques for veneers are virtually the same regardless of the system used.  If the clinical situation mandates all can be placed with little or no preparation of the teeth. Unfortunately there is little data to support the claim that one system is better than another, however companies are investing, millions of dollars to convince unknowing patients that their system is superior. We are willing to discuss any system with you and help you decide on the correct restoration for you.
